Animation Block Party is awesomeness again!!!
Animation Block Party went between Friday 7/31 to Sunday 8/2 with 6 screenings between 3 days. I only went to the opening night @ the outdoor screening in Greenpoint and the following night at BAM Rose Cinemas in Brooklyn.
A really great line up once again of awesomeness in animation! Casey Safron, ABP curator and director, received hundreds of submissions. From these, he really found some gems that are worth seeing if you like animation.
This would be a better writeup if I had appeared for every screening. As is, I was at the evening shows for Friday and Saturday nights and these are my picks:
Friday, July 31st - 9pm show, Automotive High School
Zombie Too
by Jacob Opsa
Hubo
by Erick Oh
Offline
by Tom Gasek
Pinball 12 Reanimated
by Abbey Luck
Saturday, August 1st - 915pm show, BAM
Don't Text and Drive
Adrian J. Garcia
Kidnap
by Sijia Luo
Ledo Goes to Town
Emily Carmichael
Arctic Circle
by Kevin Parry
In the Beginning
by Katie Wendt
Philip the Safety Egg
by Mike Owens
Pinhead
by Matt Lee
Once again, Casey has assembled a kick ass Summer of animation awesomeness. If you haven't been to ABP, and you like animation, you really don't know what you're missing. Don't miss this event. It's animation at its finest hours over several days right here in New York. Thanks Casey! Thanks ABP!!!

Daily Dry Erase and Tumblr
Until further notice, future panels will appear on dailydryerase.tumblr.com.
It's a very easy user interface that takes less time for me to update than my own site. I have to admit, I'm considering changing things to Tumblr templates because they are so clean, easy to update, and easy to share with more people. Bookmark: http://dailydryerase.tumblr.com/ .
dailydryerase.com still has pretty much everything else, but I will be updating that site a little less regularly than Tumblr.

Daily Dry Erase: checkpoint
There will be more humor, abstraction, and hopefully some more animation in the not too distant future. 300 panels and a handful of animations nearly every day since April 2009 is a pretty good checkpoint for a time out.
Thanks for all of the wonderful comments and support all of this time! I'm still investigating new ways to evolve this project in both the creative sense and the viral sense. So far, I've found Daily Dry Erase to be the most engaging creative project that I have ever initiated and I will continue to deliver after some other stuff in between:)
If you have a moment, please take a look at all that has been made to promote this project and please share what you see here if you like what you see:
